Lamont White

Lamont White

Entrepreneur • Author

Lamont Joseph White was born and raised in the New York City metropolitan area, where he lacked visual inspiration. His influences are derived by aspects of both modern and traditional approaches... Classicism and renaissance for their academic forms of beauty. Impression and abstraction speak to his sense of contemporary times. He received my BFA from FIT in New York with continued studies at The School of Visual Arts and the New School. As a student, he was fortunate to have an incredible creative environment and passion for the arts early on. During his schooling, renowned illustrators Jack Potter and Antonio Lopez took him under their wings and contributed greatly to his approach and creative direction. After graduating he went on to illustrate ad campaigns and editorials for Adidas, Converse, Coleman, Fairchild Publications, Ebony Man, Cole Haan, Bally Shoes, Amalfi Shoes, Bandolino Shoes, amongst others. His ongoing creative pursuits have included fine art exhibits, illustration, graphic design and product development across multiple industries. Exhibitions have included The Society of Illustrators and various other New York City metro area galleries. More recently his work been seen at Ski Utah Headquarters, Snowbird resort and Christian Center of Park City and the Alf Engen Museum at Utah Olympic Park. Thematically, inclusion and diversity are always important for Lamont. It’s often said that race doesn’t matter or that color isn’t seen. He prefers, instead, to observe our differences so that we can better embrace them. These days Lamont resides in Park City Utah with his wife, Jeannine and their dog, Bowie.
Latoya Cameron

Latoya Cameron

Actress

Latoya Cameron has been seen on the SLAC stage in THE CAKE, STUPID FUCKING BIRD and 2014 SATURDAY’S VOYUER. She has participated in three Playwrights’ Labs and voiced one of the members of the Jolly Troop (Upper Twin) in CLIMBING WITH TIGERS. She has been a proud Union Member of Actors Equity for four years. Recently she has shifted her focus towards balancing her time off stage along with on. This new direction has turned her attention on how to make theatre a place that creates visibility and equity for marginalized communities who have been affected by systemic oppressions. Along with that, how we can make the theatre a safe environment for all to show up as their full selves. Theatre can be a place to create change, that can create possibilities and shift perspectives; however, we have yet to witness the actualization of that potential because of discriminative behaviors acting as gatekeepers. Through her continued work with SLAC, we will strive toward removing the hinges from those gates and perpetually work towards effective and equitable change.
